Dear players and parents,
The tryouts will be cancelled. To conform with the recommendations of the CDC, we have taken a proactive approach to address the change the spring teams to a skills & development sessions. This limits travel as well as large group gatherings that the CDC has limited. Tournaments have been rescheduled or cancelled, which have forced us to rethink the format of spring hockey.
Over the past week, as recommendations have changes from the CDC, Garrett Suter, Ryan Suter, Trent Einbeck, Dan Ruoho, myself, the opinions of the coaches and arena staff, have discussed the best course of action to proceed for a safe environment for players, coaches, and arena staff. Following those meetings, we have concluded that this is the best approach to continue having a spring season:
This new format will be with practices/development skills, for four weeks starting April 13 to May 10th. If you have any questions, contact Meredith at email@example.com. Those who want to go ahead with this, we can apply the tryout fee to pay for the spring teams. There is a registration that will not collect payment, but it does have limited spots.
Another major part of the discussion were to address growing concerns that many parents have during this time. With the direction of the CDC, we have created guidelines and protocol for the four weeks of these spring sessions. This protocol will limit group sizes, contact with players, staff, and coaches.
