Otherwise they would of had to drive a really far distance to be with the Illinois teams. As for the jerseys that is being discussed, and our home rink will be at the Capitol arena. This is a great opportunity for the returning Capitol players and the Wild players and we need to take advantage of it. We will have a strong team next year and we all want to do our best! |

I have played with caps since I was approximately 8 years old, meaning most of you ladies have known me over half of my life...Saying good-bye this year was possibly the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Everyone knows I am bad at good-byes, but there is a bond between each of us that will never and can never be broken. You have all touched my heart in several different ways. You have molded me to be a stronger person and pushed me to be a better athlete. I thank you. I can't even describe all the emotions we shared together in our house, the gossip, the stories, the dancing, and the constant laughter. I cried for probably a week after state..anytime someone would ask about it, anytime I was on facebook looking at pictures, and basically anytime I would think about it. I'm sure I can still cry to this day if I thought about what we could of done differently. But it's done and over with and time to move on. Sometimes you don't realize what you have until it's gone. We are a family, and forever will be a family. I hope that each of you will come back and visit us girls you have left behind..
Hockey is only one chapter of your life, and you still have a whole book to write. Good luck to my ladies, my best friends, and ultimately my sisters...the teams you are attending next year are so lucky to have you apart of their programs..leave no regrets, and never forget what you shared with our family. We will forever and always hold the rope…:)
